Spectators Cheer Chess Player's 60-Hour Record Attempt in Times Square

Nigerian chess and education advocate Tunde Onakoya set out to break the world record for longest chess marathon, spending several days playing in New York.

Onakoya and New York City-based chess master Shawn Martinez played together for 60 hours, ending after midnight on Saturday, April 20, to break the world record and attempt to raise one million dollars for Chess in Slums Africa, according to the International Chess Federation.
