Splish-Splash: Brown Bear Takes a Bath at New York Sanctuary

A 13-year-old Syrian brown bear that resides at a wildlife sanctuary in Otisville, New York, was the picture of relaxation, as it enjoyed a bath in a pond at the facility.

The bear, named Sonja, lives at the Orphaned Wildlife Center, alongside her sister, Amy, and, according to the center’s owners, she is a fan of eating peaches and grass.

Going on the evidence of a September 17 YouTube video though, she’s also a big fan of laying back and relaxing in the water when she gets the chance.

The center often shares videos and updates about the animals in its care to its YouTube channel and Facebook page. Credit: Kerry Clair via Storyful
