SRTC Nurse Aide Program at Pelham High School awarded Georgia Healthcare Association Grant

May 9—THOMASVILLE- Southern Regional Technical College was selected as a recipient of a grant from the Georgia Healthcare Association through the Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant Career Pathway Initiative's Long-Term Care CNA Stipend Program. The Long-Term Care CNA Stipend Program is designed to increase the number of Certified Nursing Assistants in Georgia's long term care facilities.

The Long-Term Care CNA Stipend Program, a collaborative effort between SRTC, the Georgia Healthcare Association, and Pelham High School, aims to support students through their journey to become certified nursing assistants. A total of 15 dual enrollment students from Pelham High School enrolled in the Nurse Aide program were selected for this grant.

Jaylen Jackson, Kimaya Reese, Aunika Haywood, Bradaysha Gillis, Landen Griner and Jacklyn Lovos of Pelham, along with Kinsley Humphries and Madison Gay of Meigs, were all selected for the grant.
