Stacey Solomon has shared her bold kitchen makeover after transforming it from white to black. The 34-year-old revealed that she wanted to give the room a massive overhaul earlier this month - and hadn't asked her husband Joe before making the big decision.

She had shared a video showing her first tentative strokes with the dramatic paint. Stacey revealed the full makeover on social media on Saturday, telling fans that she had actually brought in a professional to complete the job.

Alongside a video showing the transformation, the mum-of-five wrote: "The Kitchen Is now black. I just went for it! It is the f*** it year after all. So here she is. Let me know what you think! Or don’t if you hate it."

Stacey, 34, revealed she was in love with the new look, adding: " actually didn’t realise how much cosier & just all round prettier painting it black would be. I was worried it might be harsh & dark but it feels so much more homely & actually feels brighter!

"I loved the white but omg this is special! So glad I just went for it!"

Stacey added in her Instagram Stories: "I'm sure I'll get some unapprovers but it really is my f*** it year and I need to keep reminding myself that! I love it so much and that's what's important." She then revealed she had asked professionals to take on the job.

"Loads of you asking if I painted it myself. I didn't want to get it wrong with black, it's not forgiving at all/ So I bought my paint and got it sprayed."

Fans and friends were in love with the new look and rushed to comment. Stacey's BBC Sort Your Life Out co-star Dilly Carter praised the move, writing: "I BLOODY LOVE LOVE LOVE IT obvs."

One fan wrote: "I’m a pink girlie but I LOVE this! Also spotted that cute mug bow and the scallop rugs." A second said: "WOW. It was a bold and brave move but you smashed it! Would love to live in your brain for the day and steal your vision."
