Stacey Solomon 'crying' as she captures unexpected moment with son after life update

Stacey Solomon was left crying more tears as she realised she'd captured an unexpected moment with her son after an emotional life update. The Loose Women star was seen beaming with pride as she watched her eldest son, Zachary, head off to his prom this week.

Stacey, 34, was 17 when she welcomed her first child, son Zachary into the world, with his arrival coming a couple of years before she shot to fame on ITV's The X Factor in 2009.

The presenter is now a happy mum-of-five after welcoming her second daughter, Belle, into the world in February last year with her husband Joe Swash. The couple also share a son Rex and a daughter Rose, while Stacey is also mum to her teenage son Leighton and Joe shares a teenage son Harry with a former partner.

And taking to Instagram on Wednesday (June 26), Stacey revealed she was experiencing a first as a parent as Zachary joined his friends to celebrate after finishing secondary school.

She shared a string of photos of her beaming with pride alongside her 16-year-old son before he headed off to celebrate with his friends. The teen looked dapper in a light blue three-piece suit complete with a navy tie and matching pocket square. But he did keep it modern by adding what looked like a pair of Nike Dunk on his feet.

Stacey, meanwhile, also dressed up for the special occasion and looked gorgeous in a floral midi dress as she tied her hair up into a classy up do. Joe also joined them for a number of smiling snaps as other family members and friends got in on the action, with Stacey protecting their privacy by blurring their faces.

Alongside the post, the emotional mum wrote in view of her 5.9 million followers: "My baby just went to prom [crying emoji]. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way. My Zachary, has finished his GCSEs, left school, started his first job and is off to his prom."

She continued: "Zach you are the best thing that ever happened to me. We’ve grown up together. I just can not believe how that time has flown by. Go and have the best night ever. You deserve it my darling. I’ll be on stand by for the after party pick up. To the moon and back Zachary."

Now, Stacey has shared a video of herself and her son which she didn't know had been captured. In it, the school leaver could be seen smiling for the camera as he proud mum stared at him adoringly before turning and resting her head on his shoulder as he begins to tower of her.

Writing alongside the post, Stacey said: "When your camera takes a Live Photo and you don’t realise it’s taken a video of the most special moment that you’ll treasure forever. Zach, we love you." She also shared it to her Instagram Story and said: "Was just looking through my camera roll from yesterday and there was a Live Photo on there. It turns into a little few second video when I hold it down and I love it so much! It's so special. Actually made me cry."

It comes after Stacey shared a video to her Instagram Story in which she could be seen blowing up balloons with helium in her gorgeous pool house she recently got ready for the mini heatwave the country is experiencing. The golden balloons spelt out 'PROM' which she hung from one of the pool house's archways with the glistening pool visible in the background.

Alongside the clip, the Sort Your Life Out host wrote: "Today has been a very emotional day. Honestly, I don't know where the years have gone. School is over and it's Zachary's prom [crying emoji]." In a follow-up post, the Sort Your Life Out host shared how she'd hosted a few of the parents of her son's friends.
