Stacey Solomon has reached out to her social media followers for some much-needed advice after suffering a kitchen mishap over the weekend. The 34-year-old TV star, known for her candid lifestyle and crafting posts on Instagram, experienced an unfortunate incident at her Essex home, affectionately dubbed Pickle Cottage.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Stacey shared a video with her fans, asking for "help" after she sustained a burn while baking bread. In the clip, the popular Loose Women panellist explained that she had just returned from the gym and was in her workout attire when the accident occurred.

She recounted pulling the bread out of the oven too quickly, which resulted in the hot tray contacting her stomach. Stacey expressed her worries about potential scarring and described the pain as "stingy", reports the Mirror.

She elaborated on the incident, saying: "I need your help and guidance. I burnt myself this morning. Basically, I was making bread - who do I think I am? - and I'd just been to the gym. Come back in the house, was making bread, put it in the oven, went to pull it out and pulled it too far, and where I was wearing my gym kit, it went straight into my stomach."

She further detailed her reaction to the burn, noting the delayed pain response: "So I don't know if anyone else's brain is like this - it never registers burns like it does any other pain. So it went into my stomach and I was like 'Is that hot? Should that be hot? Should it be hurting? Oww'."

Stacey shared: "I wasn't immediately 'oww,' like I had a whole thought process before 'oww,' and I pushed it away." She suggested that she felt the need to "quickly get something cool on it, put some burns cream on it [and] dress it" after the incident.

"I've just literally opened it up and I'm like 'ah what have I done? '. So if you've got any goods tips for like what to put on burns so they don't scar for the future or like reduce scarring and how to reduce the stingy-ness of it, that would be really helpful. It's right on the bloomin' crease of my tummy as well as like every time I bend down I'm like 'oooh'."

Stacey then posted a photo showing a burn on her stomach. Over the image, she wrote: "Here it is. Honestly I'm so clumsy like this." Alongside the visible mark on her skin, she noted: "The dots from the grill."

Seeking further advice, she asked her followers: "Please send any little healing remedies you know." Stacey added with a laughing emoji: Hopefully it will settle down and look like extra abs in the future.".

The NHS offers guidance on treating burns, suggesting to cool the affected area, cover it with cling film, and take paracetamol for pain relief. They advise: "Appropriate first aid must be used to treat any burns or scalds as soon as possible. This will limit the amount of damage to your skin."

The advice notes: "If your burn or scald is mild and treated at home, it normally heals without the need for further treatment."

For more severe cases, the NHS recommends seeking immediate medical attention. If a burn is "large" or deep enough to cause white or charred skin, it's time to head to A&E. Additionally, symptoms of shock like "clammy" skin, sweating, rapid breathing, and dizziness warrant a trip to the emergency department.
