Stacey Solomon has reached out to her social media followers for some much-needed advice after suffering a kitchen mishap over the weekend. The 34-year-old presenter, known for her candid social media presence, shared with her Instagram fans that she had an unfortunate incident at her Essex home, affectionately named Pickle Cottage.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday (April 27), Stacey posted a video where she sought "help" from her followers. In the clip, she explained that she had sustained a burn while engaging in a spot of baking. She voiced her worries about the potential for scarring and described the sensation as "stingy".

The popular Loose Women star recounted the incident, saying: "I need your help and guidance. I burnt myself this morning. Basically, I was making bread - who do I think I am? - and I'd just been to the gym. Come back in the house, was making bread, put it in the oven, went to pull it out and pulled it too far, and where I was wearing my gym kit, it went straight into my stomach."

She elaborated on her reaction to the burn: "So I don't know if anyone else's brain is like this - it never registers burns like it does any other pain. So it went into my stomach and I was like 'Is that hot? Should that be hot? Should it be hurting? Oww'.", reports the Mirror.

Stacey shared: "I wasn't immediately 'oww,' like I had a whole thought process before 'oww,' and I pushed it away." She suggested that her immediate reaction was to "quickly get something cool on it, put some burns cream on it [and] dress it" after the incident.

She expressed: "I've just literally opened it up and I'm like 'ah what have I done? '. So if you've got any goods tips for like what to put on burns so they don't scar for the future or like reduce scarring and how to reduce the stingy-ness of it, that would be really helpful. It's right on the bloomin' crease of my tummy as well as like every time I bend down I'm like 'oooh'."

Following this, Stacey posted a photo showing a burn on her stomach. Over the image, she wrote: "Here it is. Honestly I'm so clumsy like this." Alongside the visible mark on her skin, she noted: "The dots from the grill."

In a further plea for help, she asked her followers: "Please send any little healing remedies you know." In a lighter tone, Stacey added with a laughing emoji: "Hopefully it will settle down and look like extra abs in the future."

The NHS advises: "Appropriate first aid must be used to treat any burns or scalds as soon as possible. This will limit the amount of damage to your skin." The health service provides first aid advice on its website for such situations.

The NHS guidance for treating burns at home suggests cooling the affected area, covering it with cling film, and taking paracetamol to manage pain. The advice notes: "If your burn or scald is mild and treated at home, it normally heals without the need for further treatment."

For more serious injuries, the NHS recommends seeking immediate medical attention. If you have "large" burns, or any size of deep burns that result in white or charred skin, it's crucial to go to A&E.

Additionally, signs of shock such as "clammy" skin, sweating, rapid breathing, and dizziness necessitate a visit to the emergency department.
