Joe Swash proved his wife Stacey Solomon's biggest supporter as he was excitedly watching her get to work on another project after her recent black eye drama. Earlier this week, the Loose Women star's excitement got the better of her and she ended up giving herself a bit of a shiner.

After her much-welcomed return to the ITV lunchtime show at the start of the week, Stacey remained quiet on social media but later seemingly explained why. The mum-of-five was seen getting herself ready for the day ahead and as she did her hair, she spoke directly to her millions of fans and followers on her Instagram platform.

In a video shared to her Instagram Story, Stacey, 34, said: "So, I may have given myself a black eye!" She laughed as gave a close-up to the camera and explained: "Yesterday, I got back from Loose Women and my duck coop was there and I've got meetings all day today I've got a shoot tomorrow and loads of things to do this week so I thought if I don't put it up this second, I won't put it up until the weekend.

"And any normal person would say, 'That's fine, put it up at the weekend! They're not going to be in that coop for another six weeks!' But my toxic trait is that if there's something in front of me, I have to do it immediately. I don't know why I'm like that. So I persisted to build a duck coop in literally dusk, dusk lighting, and I got to the roof, got to the triangle bit on the roof and dropped it on my eye."

As she sighed with a slight laugh, Stacey, who revealed she'd added ducklings to her brood last month, asked herself: "Why am I like this?"

But by Thursday (June 6), Stacey was back grafting at Pickle Cottage as she continues to update and transform her family home. She shared a video on social media showing her driving and operating a digger as Joe stood by the sidelines cheering her on. In one segment of the clip, Joe is heard yelling out to Stacey, who was sitting in the digger as she moved soil from one area to another as they got to work on a pond.

The former EastEnders star praised her for being an "absolute pro" as he added: ""Look at that bucket! No messing around. There's a tree in there, look. She's moving trees and like an absolute pro, look at this. That was a good bucket there Stace."

Stacey then captioned the video as she shared it to her Instagram Story in view of her millions of followers: "Project pond is starting today, Joe is literally my biggest cheerleader it cracks me up."

According to reports, Stacey single-handedly raised the funds for their dream home in Essex, which is set in 2.5 acres and has an outdoor swimming pool. And Stacey has been seen going great lengths to maintain a perfect garden, particularly the vegetable patch that is also being tended to by her youngest son, Rex.

In a video previously shared by Joe, Stacey could be seen using a head torch to expect the vegetable patch one evening alongside which he quipped: "I’ve lost my evenings with my wife to a bunch of slugs. No one can say she doesn’t go above and beyond to make the kids dreams come true." As Stacey headed to the garden, Joe looked on from the comfort of the firepit and said: "what is she doing? " He joked referring to the vegetables: "Are your babies all tucked in and ready for the night ahead?" Stacey then hit back and said: "You think this is a joke right, but what do you call that?" She then held up a slug that had been on one of her plants.
