After missing 18 month's worth of shows, Essex singer Stacey Solomon is unlikely to reprise her role as a full-time panellist on Loose Women. The 34-year-old was last seen on the daytime ITV show in 2022, prior to her maternity leave, giving birth to her fifth child, her third with husband Joe Swash, Belle in February, 2023.

The singer returned to the program in November, 2023, but stepped away from all regular appearances. This has left viewers with a string of questions as Stacey's future on the panel remained hanging in the balance ever since.

But during a chat with The Sun, her Loose Women co-star Linda Robson revealed that with five children and a thriving career on the small screen at the helm of her Renovation Rescue, Stacey is "too busy."

Linda, 66, dashed all hopes surrounding a potential return as she told the publication: "She's not going to be a regular anymore? I don't think so, but you never know." She added: "I would love her to come back, she's a really good Loose Woman - she's really honest. But I think she's got too much on. She's got her own series and her and Joe are out in their little house. She's still really welcome but she's just so busy."

The TV star first joined Loose Women in 2016, rapidly becoming a favourite among fans. But in December, 2022, Stacey bowed out and embarked on an extended break from the show. Shortly after giving birth to her daughter Belle, she was back to work with two shows, Sort Your Life Out on the BBC and Renovation Rescue for Channel 4.

In late 2023, an insider then claimed to Woman's Own that Stacey had "outgrown" Loose Women, hinting that she may decide to make a big sacrifice. "She's outgrown the show. It's no longer right for Stacey. Loose Women takes up a lot of her time. If she were to leave, it would free her time up a little, especially if she has to be away for longer periods of time with her own shows", the source said.

ITV quickly responded with a statement denying the rumour Stacey had quit Loose Women and teasing an upcoming return for the popular Essex-born star: "These claims are not true. We are looking forward to welcoming Stacey back onto the show soon." As mentioned, she had then returned to the Loose Women studio the following month.

At the time, Stacey made it clear her schedule was overwhelming: "It's been crazy because Belle was a wonderful surprise, but what that meant was that I had to fit my filming schedule into a very short period of time. I've just been up and down the country with Sort Your Life Out and filming another show so I haven't been able to even get into town," she'd said.
