Fans rushed to defend Joe Swash after he was criticised for a snap of his daughter Rose's lunch. Rose, two, is the middle child of the former EastEnders actor and Stacey Solomon.

Joe, 42, shared a photo of Rose's lunch box with slices of rolled-up ham, cucumber sticks and chopped-up raspberries, strawberries and grapes. But a tray filled with chopped-up fruit next to her lunchbox appeared to confuse some of his followers as they appeared to think the whole lot was for little Rose and criticised the portion size.

"Looks lovely. And no, all you KAREN'S, Joe won't be giving her the whole lot, as if! Ridiculous comments that are so unnecessary. Just be kind!" one fan commented.

A second said: "I don’t know how anyone could leave any negative comments about this family! They are truly an amazing couple and love their kids so much. I love the way they are still so down to earth too."

A third commented: "Looks yummy! I couldn't help scroll the comments though, people can't help but criticise, it wouldn't have mattered what was in there!!"

Stacey and Joe have six children between them. They share Rex, Rose and Belle, and Stacey has Leighton and Zach from previous relationships. Joe also has son Harry from a previous relationship.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Stacey shared an emotional post as she shared photos of her kids modelling her new Primark Kids collection. She wrote: “My Heart ... I don’t know why I feel so emotional. Even after 5 years & 8 collections I still don’t know how I got so lucky. This is collection number 8!! HOW?!? 4 years I’ve had my dream job of designer children’s wear with @primark and I genuinely can not believe it.

“Each time they ask me to do it again I pinch myself because nothing is ever guaranteed and I just feel so damn lucky & privileged to get to do it. I hope you love this one as much as the others & from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I can’t say it enough because without you guys I would NEVER get these opportunities in the first place let alone be able to do it over & over again.”
