Star Wars boss Kathleen Kennedy addresses Obi-Wan Kenobi future
Star Wars boss Kathleen Kennedy has addressed whether we could see more Obi-Wan Kenobi in the future.
The standalone six-part series was released last year, and saw Ewan McGregor return as the legendary Jedi master in between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Speaking on Entertainment Weekly's Dagobah Dispatch podcast, the Lucasfilm boss was asked about whether a season 2 is possible.

"I always hesitate to say: 'No we won't do anything more with Obi-Wan Kenobi'," she replied. "Maybe what we end up doing is something that gets incorporated into some of the other stories we're doing, or eventually into a movie – who knows?
"But right now, it's still our stand-alone limited series. We have no plans for expansion right now."
Last year, Obi-Wan Kenobi writer and executive producer Joby Harold was asked about the possibility of a second season too.

"I'm being asked about it constantly," he said. "I've just been thinking about this for so long as a close-ended story that my mind is so focused on this as a sort of limited [series], that I haven't thought beyond it. But he's a great character. They're all amazing characters."
While it seems we won't be seeing Obi-Wan again anytime soon, the Star Wars galaxy remains as busy as ever, with the next live-action outing set to be Ahsoka, due to premiere this August.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is streaming on Disney+. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+.
