“Fans can’t get enough of the history in the making that is BMF,” said Kathryn Busby, president of programming at Starz. “We’re thrilled to start working on a new season that will continue bold storytelling of the legend of the Flenory brothers that has proven to resonate so deeply with our viewers.”

Season three stars Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. (Euphoria), Da’Vinchi (All American) and Russell Hornsby (The Hate U Give) and revolves around two brothers from a crime family in Detroit in the late ’80s. The show is based on the lives of Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who parlayed a successful drug business into the world of hip-hop.

Production on season four will begin in the spring in Atlanta, while BMF continues to rank as one of the most watched shows on Starz, with an average of 10.6 million multiplatform viewers per episode, per the network.

Exec producers on BMF include “BMF” Jackson via his G-Unit Film and Television banner, Randy Huggins (Power), showrunner and executive producer Heather Zuhlke (Power), Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements. The series is produced in-house by Lionsgate Television.

BMF is part of a Starz scripted roster that also includes Outlander, P-Valley and the Power franchise.
