The ultimate overnight adventure for families and nature-lovers in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds scenery is back for the summer.

Camping at William’s Den returns on Friday, May 24 with pitches then available throughout the summer. Bookings are now open for the unique family-friendly campsite, situated next door to the Den at North Cave, with 360-degree views of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Christian Carver, co-founder and creator of William’s Den, said: “It’s our fourth year of hosting campers and we’ve put our heart and soul into making the campsite a beautiful, safe and welcoming place to stay, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro. We can’t wait to welcome the first guests this weekend.

“We strongly believe in the power of the great outdoors, especially for children and young people, and there’s no bigger adventure than pitching up a tent, firing up the BBQ and toasting marshmallows under the stars. Who knows, you might even get another glimpse of the Northern Lights.”

The ethos of William’s Den is to give families freedom to play – running, climbing, exploring, den-building and connecting with nature. The Den’s campsite offers all of this, day and night, with a 24/7 camp warden on-hand to help all visitors and keep the site clean and secure. The opening of camping comes just as the adventure centre announces its headline act for its annual Big Camp Out event, in the school summer holidays.

Taylor Swift tribute act, Taylors Reloaded, will be just one of the highlights of the event, taking place from Friday to Sunday, July 19 to 21. The family-friendly music festival, with day and weekend tickets available, will feature live music, bushcraft activities, circus workshops, home-cooked food and starlit storytelling.

The William’s Den campsite is open to tents, campers and caravans. Campers can book “pitch-only” tickets with freedom to explore the local area and enjoy countless walks and bike rides in the Wolds with great connectivity to public footpaths and cycling routes. There is also an option to “pitch and play”, offering families unlimited access to William’s Den throughout their stay.

Dog-friendly and campfire-friendly, all campers can pick their pitch among the 52,000sq m field, making it ideal for groups pitching up together. The “off-grid” campsite is well-equipped with fresh drinking water, shower huts, wash-up station, good-quality portable toilets, changing facilities and access to the Den’s home-cooked food.
