Stephen Fry has opened up about how his happy marriage and favourite podcasts have helped him lose five and a half stone.
The former QI host joined BBC Breakfast presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt to discuss his new Greek mythology book series and upcoming Mythos: A Trilogy tour. But during the chat, the trio got to talking about all sorts from GCSE result reactions to Fry’s brand new look.
"At the moment I'm very happy, there is the vertical moment and the horizontal and at the moment I'm very happy. I'm happily married,” the comedian gushed, as he talked about his husband Elliott Spencer.
"I've lost a bit of weight so I'm feeling proud of myself. I was overweight, I have lost five and a half stone. I was 21 stone in April; I was that heavy."
Divulging his slimming down secrets, the 61-year-old explained: "I walk a lot and that helps my mood as well, I find. It's not a guaranteed help for mental stress and anxiety or anything else but it does help me.
“It means I can listen to audio books as I walk, and podcasts, and you eat up the miles that way, and talking of eating up, eating sensibly."
Fry went on to say that he feels “relieved” when he looks in the mirror nowadays.
Fans of the Blackadder star took to social media during his appearance on the show to commend him on his transformation.
