Still time to make a nomination for Skipton Business Awards

THERE is still time to make a nomination for this year's Skipton Business Awards.

Run by Skipton Business Improvement District (BID), entries for the awards need to be in by July 9.

People are being encouraged to nominate shops, pubs, restaurants and service providers as a way of celebrating the hard work put in by the town's businesses and as a thank you for the services they provide for both residents and visitors all year round.

There are 12 categories, including retailer of the year, pub or bar of the year, best tourism business, and new for this year, a long service award aimed at businesses which have traded in the town for more than 20 years.

An independent panel of judges will then come up with a shortlist of three businesses for each of the 12 categories and the winners revealed at a ceremony at Skipton Town Hall in October.
