Stoke City return to a back four as Steven Schumacher goes up against his old team Plymouth Argyle in probably their biggest game in at least this season.

A win will go along to securing safety in the Championship for either Stoke or Argyle and Schumacher has made significant changes as he searches for those three points.

Ki-Jana Hoever and Enda Stevens come in at full-backs, Jordan Thompson shifts into midfield with recalled Plymouth old boy Luke Cundle and Million Manhoef and Bae Junho are back in the front line.

Ben Wilmot partners Luke McNally in central defence, captain Josh Laurent keeps his place in central midfield and Tyrese Campbell leads the line.

Schumacher said in his pre-match press conference: "It's not about me. It's about Stoke trying to get points on the board. Everyone understands how crucial and vital the game is and there will be a lot of noise around it going up against a club I was at for a long time and had some good times there. The side story of me being Argyle's ex-manager is probably that not important, the point is what's at stake and what everyone is trying to fight for."

Stoke: Iversen, Hoever, Stevens, McNally, Wilmot, Laurent, Thompson, Cundle, Manhoef, Junho, Campbell. Subs: Bonham, Rose, Burger, Vidigal, Baker, Ennis, Haksabanovic, Leris, Lowe.
