Stolen bank card used at NatWest Yeovil for withdrawals totalling £10,800

YEOVIL'S NatWest was one of the bank's branches used to withdraw a total of £10,800 from a stolen bank card — as police release CCTV of a man they want to identify.

Detectives at Dorset Police investigating the theft and subsequent fraudulent use of a bank card have shared CCTV images of a man they would like to identify.

A bank card and PIN were intercepted in the post at an address in West Horsley in Surrey sometime between Monday, April 15, and Monday, April 22, of this year.

The bank card was then used on Monday April 22 to make fraudulent withdrawals of cash from various Natwest bank branches in Yeovil and elsewhere in Dorset and Hampshire, totalling £10,800.

Detective Constable Michael White, of Bournemouth police, said: “An investigation is underway to establish exactly when the bank card and PIN code documentation were stolen.

“As part of my enquiries, I have obtained CCTV images of a man believed to be using the stolen bank card and I would ask anyone with information about his identity to please come forward.”
