New store to open in Bullring as fans say 'I've been praying'

A popular American bakery chain known for its 'Ooey-Gooey' treats is moving into the Bullring this week. Cinnabon will arrive in the Bullring on Friday, July 12.

The bakery kiosk will serve the chain's famous cinnamon rolls from a spot in the shopping centre as part of its growth into the UK. There are currently 11 branches of Cinnabon in the UK, with the majority of branches in the north of England.

Cinnabon is known for serving topped pastry rolls in flavours like Oreo and Lotus Biscoff as well as regular iced cinnamon rolls and small, bite-sized Cinnachips. It also makes Chocobons, which are filled with chocolate and topped with frosting and sauce.

Its drinks menu features coffees as well as Chillattas, similar to frappes in flavours like strawberry, caramel latte, mango, chocolate mocha and a cinnamon roll flavour.

You can buy rolls single or by the box and extra frosting for dunking is available on the side. The 'extras' pots include frostings and sauces as well as chopped pecans to personalise your roll.

Announcing the opening, Bullring posted: "Sweet news, Birmingham! Cinnabon is rolling into Bullring on this Friday, July 12th! If you love the Ooey-Gooey delight, you know where to be. See you there!"

Dan Murphy, destination director at Bullring and Grand Central, said: "We are so excited about the addition of Cinnabon to Bullring. This is the latest in a series of exciting new food and dining concepts opening this year and we're looking forward to our customers indulging in Cinnabon’s world-famous cinnamon rolls and more."

Dan Smith, brand manager at Cinnabon, added: "We have been inundated with requests through social media from Cinnfans in Birmingham to open a store in their city and we are delighted that we are able to bring our bons to the Bullring. We can't wait to open on July 12 and give customers what they have been craving for so long!"

Cinnabon has confirmed that it will be launching on Friday with a 'spin the wheel' game in which Brummies can win 'hundreds of prizes' including free drinks and Mini Bons.
