Stores in Jerusalem, West Bank Shuttered as Part of Strike Following Nablus Deaths

Shops across East Jerusalem and the West Bank were shuttered as Palestinians observed a strike on Thursday, February 23, in protest of the killings reported in Nablus the day before during a raid by Israeli security forces.

On Wednesday, February 22, the Palestinian Health Ministry said at least 10 people were killed and more than 100 wounded after Israeli forces said they were involved in an “exchange of fire” in Nablus.

According to WAFA News Agency, “Shops stayed shuttered as students stayed home after their schools and universities also joined the general strike that affected all aspects of life, including banks and public transportation.” Credit: WAFA News Agency via Storyful
