Storm Imogen Lashes Britain With High Winds And Stormy Seas
Britain’s coastal towns are being pummeled by giant waves whipped up by Storm Imogen’s gale-force winds. Thousands of homes were without power on Monday and transport in southern England has been severely disrupted. Winds of up to 96mph have battered Wales and the South Coast, and giant waves and floods are affecting coastal towns. The Met Office has issues amber wind warnings in the south-east and south-west of England, London and Wales. People are warned to expect delays on roads and trains as the ninth major storm of the winter continues.
