Cat Eccles has won the Stourbridge seat for Labour in the 2024 general election with 15,338 votes. They take the seat from the Conservatives and have won with 38.5 per cent of the vote.

The Conservative candidate Suzanne Webb came second with 12,265 votes in the seat which was 30.8 per cent of the vote. It means Labour has a majority of 3,073.

Stourbridge was one of a host of Black Country seats firmly in the crosshairs for Labour in the 2024 General Election. Historically it has swung between Labour and the Tories and was in the hands of Suzanne Webb after the 2019 General Election.

That said, Stourbridge is not red wall. While the constituency was regularly Labour in the Tony Blair years, it had been blue since 2010.

Margot James was the MP for a long time before Ms Webb took over in 2019.
