Stranger Things villain Jamie Campbell Bower also shared the love by replying to the post with a series of red hearts, while Millie's Enola Holmes co-star Sam Claflin added: "congrats little sis".

Noah and Millie first met while filming the first season of Stranger Things back in 2015, and they've been best friends ever since.

The duo even promised to marry each other if they weren't hitched by the time they were 40, but it looks like the deal is now off due to Millie's engagement.

"We said if we're not married by 40, we'll get married... because we'd be good roomies. Completely platonically, we'd be really good roomies," Millie joked last year.

"No kids though, because I could not deal with a child of yours!" she added to Noah, to which he replied: "That's my dealbreaker."

Going on to discuss her close friendship with Noah, Millie shared: "We have built such a friendship together. And you're also one of the longest friends I've ever had.

"I don't know if you knew that, but I didn't grow up in school so I didn't have any friends from my childhood. So you are really one of those people for me."

Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
