The first look at Stranger Things season two asks just one question: Who you gonna call?

A preview photo from the return of Netflix's hit sci-fi drama series is an ode to another classic '80s movie, with Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) decked out in Ghostbusters jumpsuits.

Not only that, fans have been piecing together of puzzling tweet from the Stranger Things account - and they think they've worked out the Netflix premiere date.

As you might notice, the difference between the low and high temperatures on the first day is nine and the second day is eight. Adding those two together, you get 17. So, is the premiere date September 8, 2017?

We'll probably find out more when the first Stranger Things season two trailer premieres during the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 5).

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Shawn Levy also dropped the very first hint about what we can expect from Eleven and her pals this season.

"The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn't," Levy teased.

Levy previously vowed that Stranger Things will try hard to keep most of the storyline details secret in hopes of preserving the allure from season one.

"I'm going to be very judicious when it comes to talking about Stranger Things, because I live in the land of spoiler paranoia these days," Levy said.

"We've been sitting on some additional actors, which got announced this morning [November 7], two of whom are very well known, one of whom is not.

"All I'm going to tell you about season 2… Look, as much as people are dying to know what happened, I think the reason Stranger Things has become the phenomenon it has is because no one knew what was coming.

"No one knew, frankly… much like The Force Awakens, I think there's this delicious torture in not knowing."
