Manuela Perteghella has won the Stratford-on-Avon for the Liberal Democrats in the 2024 general election with 23,450 votes. The constituency was one of dozens won by the Lib Dems.

The Conservatives came second with more than 16,000 votes - but it wasn't enough to hold the seat given up by Nadim Zahawi, who stepped down. It means the Lib Dems have a majority of 7,122.

Previous MP Nadhim Zahawi announced he was standing down as the Conservative MP for the town meaning he did not appear on the ballot this time around. Stratford-on-Avon has been a Tory seat since 1997 - which means Labour didn't even manage to win here in the Blair years. Last time round, Zahawi polled more than 60 per cent of the vote with the Liberal Democrats in second place.

The constituency is it is centred on the town of Stratford-upon-Avon but also takes in the surrounding areas around the town, including the towns of Alcester and Henley-in-Arden.

Turnout: 71.5%
