Streaming Ratings: ‘Bridgerton’ Repeats at No. 1

Season three of Bridgerton ruled the streaming charts for a second straight week, holding onto most of its premiere week audience and racking up more than 2 billion minutes of viewing.

A pair of sci-fi films, Jennifer Lopez’s Atlas and Dune: Part Two, also had pretty strong showings in the week of May 20-26, and Max’s Hacks and Hulu’s Under the Bridge entered the rankings as they neared the end of their seasons.

More from The Hollywood Reporter

Bridgerton had 2.19 billion minutes of viewing for the week, down just 21 percent from 2.76 billion for the previous seven days. The period drama had almost double the viewing time of the second-place show, Grey’s Anatomy (1.1 billion) — which, like Bridgerton, comes from mega-producer Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland. Kids’ favorite Bluey (1.07 billion minutes) crossed the billion-minute threshold for the 20th time in 21 measured weeks so far this year.

Atlas, which premiered May 24 on Netflix, had 795 million minutes of viewing, leading the movie rankings and finishing fifth among all titles. Dune: Part Two (711 million minutes on Max) wasn’t far behind, though it made its streaming debut three days earlier, on May 21.

Netflix’s comedy Tires, starring Shane Gillis, had 330 million minutes of viewing in its first week (it premiered May 23). Hacks (233 million on Max) and Under the Bridge (220 million on Hulu) broke into the top 10 originals with their next-to-last episodes of the season.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for May 20-26, 2024, are below.
