“Street Outlaws” Star Lizzy Musi Dead at 33 Following Diagnosis with Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Musi's father Pat Musi said she died "surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her own home"

Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings driver Lizzy Musi has died after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She was 33.

The news was confirmed by Lizzy’s father Pat Musi, who announced his daughter’s death in a post shared on Facebook on Thursday, June 27.

“Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight,” the post began. “Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”

Following the news, fans took to the comment section of Lizzy’s last Instagram post on May 31, which was tagged from Medias Klinikum Burghausen, a cancer treatment facility in Germany.

The image showed a bouquet of red roses and a note in a hospital room, and was captioned, “Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers Mikey!! ❤️ made my morning on top of great news this morning!!”

“Long live you💔🕊️ race in heaven lizzy,” wrote one follower after the announcement of Lizzy's death, while a second added, “RIP to a legend! You’ll be missed.”

A third wrote, “RIP DRAG RACING LEGEND.” 

Lizzy revealed her cancer diagnosis in an April 2023 post on Instagram.

“Hey Everyone, I haven’t been able to have much time to post due to an unexpected life change. A few days ago I have been Diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has moved to my lymph nodes to my liver,” she wrote, adding, “I have a rough journey ahead of me. I appreciate everyone’s messages and calls. 💗”

Two months later, Lizzy shared that she had shaved her head due to “extreme hair loss.”

“Kye shaved it for me and it was at the race track. I don’t think I would have had it any other way,” she wrote on Instagram. “Every time I brushed my hair it would just fall out in clumps. I had bald spots and excessive shedding it was just getting to the point where I was ready to take that step.”

“Well here is the new me….some days are tough to look in the mirror but there are days where I feel stronger than ever,” she added.

Lizzy, who was from North Carolina, rose to fame on the Discovery Channel series Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, a spinoff of Street Outlaws which first aired in 2018. She starred on the show with her father Pat, who is an eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion, according to his website.

The reality TV star's death comes after Street Outlaws: Fastest in America driver Ryan Fellows died at the age of 41 after being involved in a car accident in August 2022.

Street Outlaws star Christopher "Kentucky" Ellis also died at the age of 39 in September 2020.

The car mechanic was found dead at his home in Oklahoma City.
