Following last week's elimination, the remaining 14 celebrities in Strictly Come Dancing 2023 took to the dance floor for week three of the 21st series on Saturday, 7 October.

It was Movie Week, one of the best loved themed weeks of the BBC dance competition show, and the stars put their best foot forward on the ballroom floor in order to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke.

Paying homage to some of the best films of the year, the professionals started the live show by marking 100 years of Disney before the show got on the road.

Angela Scanlon did incredibly well with her Charleston from Damn Yankees, a classic dance movie, and she wowed the judges with her interpretation of Fosse alongside Carlos Gu.

Other highlights of the night included Eddie Kadi's Couple's Choice to Men in Black which earned him a 10 from Ballas, and Bobby Brazier's first attempt at a Latin dance where he delivered a Samba with a Shakesperean twist.

Jody Cundy's appearance on this week's show was cast into doubt after the Paralympian had to tackle an infection in his amputated leg, however Cundy powered through to perform an American Smooth. Sadly, it wasn't enough to wow the judges as he earned the lowest score of 20, and is currently at the bottom of the leaderboard — but now it's up to viewers to decide.
