It's that time of year again - Strictly Come Dancing is headed up north to Blackpool's Tower Ballroom and the dances the couples will be showcasing this weekend have been revealed.

The annual pilgrimage to the home of ballroom is an aim for many a celebrity contestant, especially as it sees them through into the second half of the contest.

With a bigger space to fill, a larger audience and a cast of back-up dancers, Strictly has had some memorable moments from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and this year's look set to be no exception.

Fans of Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin will have long been waiting to see what they have up their sleeves for the Couple's Choice, which they'll dance this week to Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man.

Could this finally be the week they score a perfect 40? In response to a fan telling him to "bring his A game", Williams tweeted: "Oh I will! There’re no rules this week. Just pure vibessss. I’m excited."

Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington hit headlines this week for being saved by the judges over Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley in the dance off despite making a mistake.

They'll be hoping to be talked about for the right reasons this weekend with an American Smooth to Ella Fitzgerald's Tea for Two.

One of the contest's favourite couples, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, have a fun routine in store with a Charleston to Girls Aloud hit Love Machine.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell will also be bring a party atmosphere with a Jive to Wham!'s Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.

Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu need to tap into their dramatic side this week as they'll perform an Argentine Tango to Back to Black by Amy Winehouse.

Meanwhile, it looks like Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will have had an exhausting week of training as they have a Quickstep to It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing by Duke Ellington.

Last week saw Annabel Croft surprise the judges with how well she took to the Samba, but this Saturday she's back in her ballroom comfort zone with an American Smooth to Unchained Melody.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 6.40pm on Saturday.
