Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden says 'it’s that time again' as she returns to hospital
Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden said ‘it’s that time again’ as she returned to hospital. Amy was first diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year. The star recently announced that there was "no evidence of disease" in her body.
At the time she told her followers, "My biggest accomplishment yet! I won’t be getting the all-clear for 5 years especially with a hormone fed cancer. But it was all worth it. Words I never thought I’d hear at one point.
"So grateful for all the care I received and continue to have. To my family and friends who supported me unconditionally and to you guys! Thank you!" It will take five years before Amy can officially be given the all clear from cancer.

The professional dancer has since been keeping her followers updated on her recovery journey. Amy took to her Instagram Stories today and revealed that she had to return to hospital.
Alongside a selfie, she wrote: “It’s that time of the month again! But keeping the cancer AWAY also makes me notice how quick this year is going.”
It comes as Amy recently shared a new career update and revealed that her “goal” is to return to Strictly Come Dancing later this year.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, Amy said: “I've been given another shot at life, and I'm so grateful for that. I really am.”
Christine said: “We've missed you on Strictly, and I'm sure being back there on the dance floor, you just have that burning desire to get back out there. Is that the hope, Amy?”
Amy replied: “Oh absolutely. I missed being on Strictly so much last year. I've missed dancing. I've been working with my physio team who are incredible because I haven't danced in a year. That is the goal for me to get back with my Strictly family, so fingers crossed.”
