Strictly Come Dancing’s Aliona Vilani Quit ‘To Start A Family’

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing professional, Aliona Vilani, had quit the show after dancing her way to victory with The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness on Saturday.

Obviously it didn’t take long for the rumour mill to start churning out claims that the 31-year-old had left after falling out with BBC bosses, but it turns out the real reason is much less sinister.

Y’see, according to new sources, Aliona is really just desperate to start a family with her husband, sales director Vincent Kavanagh.

The insider dished: “Aliona loves children and is ready to have a family.

“As much as she loves ‘Strictly’ she doesn’t want to put her plans for
a baby on hold any more.”

And it seems like this source really does know everything, adding to The Sun: “They are going to start trying straight away.”

Aliona confirmed that she was leaving Strictly over on her Twitter page, explaining to disappointed fans: “Going into this Strictly Come Dancing Series 13, I decided that no matter what would happen, it will be my last one.”

But what better way to go out than as reigning champion, eh Aliona?

The dancer had previously won the prestigious glitterball trophy with McFly’s Harry Judd in 2011 and it is believed that she has celebrated her second win by jetting off to Florida to spend Christmas with her family.
