Yahoo News Strictly’s Ellie Leach breaks down in tears over Vito memories
Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has revealed she was recently left in a flood of tears after reflecting on her journey in the BBC celebrity dance contest.
The former Coronation Street actor and her professional dance partner, Vito Coppola, were crowned Strictly Champions in 2023.
Looking back at footage from their time on the show, Ellie was overcome with emotion.

Sharing some fan edited montage videos on her Instagram Story, Ellie wrote: "I spend my days watching these edits. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry. It’s great entertainment."
"I also cried my eyes out this morning watching this," she continued. "I’ve watched all of our dances over and over again, but I’ve only ever watched our show dance once."
Strictly fans will remember Ellie unfortunately took a tumble in her Jennifer Lopez inspired show dance when the final lift in the routine didn’t go according to plan.

"I was so mad with myself that the ending didn’t go to plan and so I just didn’t want to watch it but this clip makes me feel really proud of what we did, the bond that we built and the trust we have in each other," Ellie explained.
"Although it didn’t go to plan on the night I’m so proud that we continued to take risks every week.
"Thank you all for always supporting us, it brings me so much joy to watch these clips and remember the time we had."
Re-sharing his co-star’s post on his own page, Vito wrote: "Love you baby."

Vito is due to return to the beloved dance show later this year as the BBC recently confirmed him in the Strictly 2024 pro dancer line-up.
"I’m going to be on the next Strictly Come Dancing series and I am so, so happy. So excited," he said, in an Instagram video following the announcement. "I honestly am so grateful and I really want to this joy, this happiness that I have, with all of you."
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
