Strictly Come Dancing hasn’t even started yet, and we’re already positively drowning in couple rumours.
First up this season comes Georgia May Foote, who, as you may remember was in LAST year’s show and ended up getting it on with dance partner Giovanni Pernice. Sadly though, things didn’t exactly work out for the pair, who split earlier this year.
But now however, Georgia’s allegedly getting a bit aggy – after Giovanni got paired with this year’s contestant Laura Whitmore.
Who, er, awkwardly happens to be Georgia’s pal.
She’s apparently afraid the show will try and push the two together (figuratively speaking – I mean we all know how close you get during a rumba).
Speaking to The Sun, a friend close to Georgia said:
“Georgia knows just how intimately the couples have to dance and is terrified that Giovanni might hook up with Laura”
“She is devastated that they are no longer together and struggling with the thought of Giovanni getting up close and personal with a friend of hers.”
Only last month, Georgia herself admitted she’d get jealous of the girls Giovanni gets paired with: "Of course I’ll get jealous. Whoever Giovanni gets is a very lucky girl. He’s a great teacher.”
“I’m excited for whoever he gets and, yeah, he’s a great teacher, so I’m happy for him. I think it’s fine.”
The couple had met on last year’s show whilst she was still in a relationship with her Coronation Street co-star Sean Ward.
They were pretty loved up for a good few months, but recently split – announcing the news on Twitter: “It is with great sadness we have decided to split up. There is nobody else involved. Although it was not an easy decision to make, sometimes you realise that it is better to be friends and this is one of those times.”
