Strictly’s Hamza Yassin breaks down in tears on launch show
Strictly Come Dancing’s 2022 winner Hamza Yassin returned to screens on Saturday (September 16) night, but the comeback to the dancefloor proved to be an emotional experience.
He came back to the BBC dance competition for its season 21 launch show and reunited with his professional partner Jowita Przystal.
Hamza performed a fun-filled dance routine with Jowita, but shortly afterwards he broke down in tears.

Hamza was overcome with emotion as he reflected on his 2022 Strictly journey, which of course ended with him lifting the Glitterball Trophy.
"It’s the best thing I’ve ever done," he told host Tess Daly. "I’ve been all over the world and Strictly has just been…
"Why am I crying?" Hamza exclaimed as he became tearful. "Strictly has been one of the best things I’ve ever done.
"To share this stage with this lovely young lady [Jowita], the things that she’s taught me in life. Strictly, Jowita, thank you so much. Cheers everybody."

Chatting further to Hamza following his performance, Tess asked if he had any advice he could offer up to the star-studded cast of Strictly 2023.
"Strap in" he remarked. "Ice baths, lots of food, rest, and listen to your partner."
As well as seeing Hamza and Jowita take to the stage, the launch show featured several group dances from the Strictly professionals, a special message for absent dancer Amy Dowden, and a tribute to the late Len Goodman.
Throughout the show, viewers also saw each celebrity contestant get paired up with their pro partner.
Strictly Come Dancing airs weekends on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
