'Strictly Come Dancing': Corrie's Katie McGlynn cuts foot on glass glitterball
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Katie McGlynn has injured her foot by kicking a glass glitterball during promotional filming for the show.
The 28-year-old actor – best known for playing Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street – was wearing high-heels that left her feet exposed when was asked to run up to the glitterball, which she believed to be plastic, and pretend to kick it.
But the Hollyoaks star – who plays Becky Quentin in the Channel 4 soap – is reported to have misunderstood what the directors were asking and taken a run up before making full contact with the glass glitterball, causing it to smash.
