The series will consist of 15 episodes, with Skelton leading a team of experts in search of precious misplaced items across the World Heritage Site.

"Thrilled to be a part of this series filmed in my beloved Lake District," the presenter previously said in a statement.

"It's a chance to showcase the area's natural beauty and by reuniting people with their lost treasures we have a chance to share some heart-warming stories."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
