Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach has shared her horror after finding a "grey hair", ahead of her birthday next month.

The former Coronation Street actress filmed a video for her Instagram Stories while on the way to work, speaking to the camera about the shocking discovery she made while getting ready that morning.

"This morning I found a grey hair," she said. "So that wasn't fun. This is a sign of me getting old, I think."

Leach pulled a shocked face as she realised what age she would be turning soon and said: "It's my birthday in a month, I'm 23.

"Is that adult age? Like, do I have to become an adult at that age? I really hope not because I don't think I'm ready for that."

Leach won the Strictly Glitterball trophy at the end of last year alongside partner Vito Coppola, and last week completed the Strictly Live tour, alongside fellow cast members including Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams.

The winning partnership posted an emotional video on Instagram to mark the end of their dance journey together, and the duo said "I love you" to one another while reflecting on their Strictly experience.

Leach is currently in rehearsals for the UK touring production of Cluedo 2 – The Next Chapter, where she will replace fellow Corrie star Helen Flanagan as Miss Scarlett in the Hasbro game adaptation.

The show is a follow-up to the 2022 play which starred EastEnders’ Michelle Collins, and sees the characters from the famous board game try to escape a murderer and survive the night.

Cluedo 2, which also stars Casualty’s Jason Durr as Colonel Mustard, kicks off in Surrey at the end of February and will tour around UK theatres for the next five months.

In a press statement, Leach said: "After an incredible year, I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2. I’m delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett, and I can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast."

Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter will tour across theatres in the UK from February 29.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
