Yahoo News Strictly's Gorka and Gemma confirm series 2 of their reality show
Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Márquez and former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson have announced the return of their reality show.
The couple, who have been in a relationship since meeting on the Strictly set in 2017, are teaming up with W and UKTV Play for more of Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens.
The six-part, second series of their reality show follows the famous pair in both their professional and personal lives, with the second series focusing on Gemma and Gorka adjusting to life as a family of four.
The two welcomed their first child, a daughter named Mia, in 2019 and followed that will the arrival of son Thiago last summer.
Viewers will follow the family visiting Gorka's home in Spain, all while Gemma is busy promoting the launch of her children's book Dogs Don't Dance and planning her return to work after maternity leave.
Gorka is very busy as well, having just come off competing with Nikita Kanda on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing and is now working on new projects.
On returning for more Life Behind the Lens, Gemma and Gorka said: "We’re excited to be back on your screens with W for our second series. The messages we received, and are still receiving from the first series, have blown us away. We’re glad so many families can relate to ours and the crazy, wonderful, and exhausting world of parenthood!”
UKTV's Helen Nightingale added: "I’m so excited to have Gemma and Gorka back on our screens for a second series. Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens will air on W and UKTV Play later in 2024, with all of the previous episodes available to stream right now.
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
