Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Helen Skelton has reunited with her professional partner Gorka Marquez.

Countryfile presenter Helen and Gorka finished runners-up in the twentieth season of the BBC's hit reality dance show, with Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał winning the 2022 series.

Now, the pair have reunited – along with fellow Strictly professional Karen Hauer – in a sweet snap shared to both Helen and Gorka's Instagram accounts.

"Only just over 2 weeks since they last saw me and already missed me…" Gorka wrote. "So I had to go for a coffee with them #friendship."

The picture shows the trio smiling at the camera in a soggy selfie, along with a second picture with the group pulling funny faces.

The comments section has been flooded by friends and fans, including Strictly It Takes Two presenter Fleur East, who dropped a heart emoji and two laughing emojis on the post.

Jowita also commented on the post, which has been liked nearly 20,000 times, calling the trio, "Team".

Skelton released her autobiography In My Stride in October 2023, with the official synopsis reading: "Helen Skelton is no stranger to doing hard things, from kayaking the entire length of the Amazon to competing in a boxing match for Sports Relief.

"Her ability to dig deep and find the inner strength and to carry on no matter the challenge – physical, mental, or emotional – is nothing short of remarkable."

Gorka, meanwhile, has continued to compete as a professional dancer on Strictly. In 2023, he was partnered with BBC Asian Network presenter Nikita Kanda. The pair were eliminated second after failing to impress the judges and viewers with their Jive to 'Kids In America'.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
