Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams has unveiled a new blonde hair transformation especially for the show's Blackpool special.

The Bad Education actor showed off his lighter locks whilst performing his couple's choice dance with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin.

The two danced a commercial routine to Christina Aguilera's 'Ain't No Other Man', with Layton beginning the number on a dance pole.

After receiving positive feedback from the judges, Layton and Nikita joined Claudia for their scores, where the Strictly host commented on Layton's new hair colour.

"I love the fact that you dyed your hair for Blackpool," she said, adding: "You said, if i make it [to Blackpool] blonde is what i'm doing."

A smiling Layton replied: "I had to match this one," making reference to his professional partner Nikita's blonde hair.

The couple went on to receive 39 points from the judges for their couple's choice, with Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton du Beke all awarding Layton a 10.

Meanwhile, Craig Revel Horwood gave Layton a 9, sparking outrage from the audience, fellow judges and Strictly professional dancers.

After Claudia confirmed his score of 39, Layton's fellow contestants and the show's pro dancers began chanting "40" in reference to Horwood's score of 9.

Despite not receiving the perfect score, Layton and Nikita ended up top of the leaderboard for the Blackpool special, with Ellie and Vito a close second.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
