Former Strictly Come Dancing professionals Ola Jordan and James Jordan have opened up about their unconventional sleeping arrangements with their four year old daughter, Ella. In a recent interview, the couple revealed that Ella still shares their Emperor size bed, which is two metres wide.

James, 45, admitted he was "scared" to confess that their daughter still sleeps in the same bed as him and his wife, Ola, 41. The pair, who were part of the professional dancer line-up on the BBC show for years, joked that there's plenty of room for the family and even three pillows in the bed.

Speaking to Hello! magazine in their new online show At Home with James and Ola, James confessed: "I'm scared to tell you all about." He went on to say that his late father would disapprove of their decision to share a bed with their daughter.

He said: "My dad would be looking down on me now going 'son, you've made a rod for your own back.' That's exactly what he would say, because I remember being a kid and not being allowed to go into my mum and dad's bed."

Both James and Ola have expressed satisfaction with their co-sleeping arrangement, as it allows everyone to get a good night's sleep rather than being disturbed by Ella during the night. It's been suggested that Ella usually wakes up around 1am before joining her parents in bed.

The couple also provided an update on Ella's health, following previous reports of hospital visits over the past few months. Ola revealed that Ella is "back to her normal self" and has resumed eating well as she recovers. Ella was taken to the hospital twice in February. The first visit was due to a "high temperature", a cough, and ear infections.

The family reportedly returned when Ella started vomiting from "coughing so much". On February 20, during the second hospital visit, James shared his thoughts on Instagram. He described the day as "truly horrible day", which included learning about the death of his former colleague Robin Windsor, who died at the age of 44.

James wrote: What a truly horrible day - from Ella throwing up in the early hours of the morning from coughing so much again. Myself not being able to sleep so going on my phone to see the loss of a Strictly Legend and friend [Robin].

"Getting to the doctors at 9am and being sent to the hospital with Ella to have lots more test - including bloods (very traumatic). Anyway - we all just got home but feel mentally drained. Hope you all had a better one than us. Sending love to all of you."
