Once plain boards have been transformed by talented artists N4t4 and Wingy. N4t4 has created stunning peacock butterflies on one panel.

Their additions to the boarded up department store come almost two years after artist Katie O transformed another part of the building. Back in 2022, she created an image of hands holding up a magical jar at the front of the building.

The new artwork comes as the future of the Debenham's building has yet to be decided. . It has been more than a year since a a brand new application was submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for 5 Bridge Street.

It asks for permission for partial demolition of the store to pave the way for 63 apartments and the creation of an internal courtyard, part-rooftop extension and the erection of a three-storey associated building on an adjacent loading area.

The latest plan submitted after a previous application for the old Bridge Street-based store was withdrawn. It was initially thought that the new application would be debated by the borough council's planning committee in the New Year of this year.

But, five months on, it has yet to appear on any planning committee agendas.
