Disney+ offering month's subscription for £1.99

To celebrate Disney+ day on 8 September, Disney has introduced an offer for new and returning subscribers to the streaming service.

From 8 September at 5am to 20 September 07:59pm, new and returning subscribers will be able to get one month of Disney+ for just £1.99. That's 75% off the usual price, as a subscription costs £7.99 per month.

The Disney+ Day celebration leads into D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California from 9-11 September, where subscribers in attendance can receive access to even more onsite perks and expect exciting announcements and first-looks at upcoming Disney+ Originals.

£1.99 £7.99 at Disney Plus

Disney+ subscribers will be able to enter the Disney resorts in both Paris, Florida and California 30 minutes before non-subscribers.

On 8 September, guests of Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will discover festive décor, special character sightings and photo opportunities.

Disney+ is home to films and TV shows from the likes of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic.

The streaming service also hosts every episode of The Simpsons, Family Guy, 24 and Sons of Anarchy.

Andor is the next Disney+ original show and is scheduled for release on 21 September. Starring Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgard and Fiona Shaw, Andor is a spin-off from Star Wars anthology movie, Rogue One.

In the show, Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor from the film as does Forest Whitaker and Genevieve O'Reilly.

Andor is set five years before the events of Rogue One and features the formation of the Rebel Alliance.

Andor will be the fourth Star Wars show to stream on Disney+ after The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Disney+ is usually £7.99 a month, or £79.90 for a year, with subscriptions auto-renewing automatically unless otherwise cancelled.
