Sue Cleaver reveals she ended up in intensive care and that it was 'scary scary time'
The actor shared that she underwent surgery but didn't say what had been wrong
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has revealed that she recently ended up in intensive care and that it was a “scary scary time”.
The actor – who plays Eileen Grimshaw on the cobbles - opened up on ITV's Loose Women as she talked about how she was the victim of a weight loss scam, with a firm falsely claiming she lost weight using their gummies.
She said she slimmed down last year as she quit alcohol and went into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

But she said that if she looked any smaller this year it wasn’t anything to do with any gummies.
“This year I have not lost weight through gummies or through any diet at all,” she said.
“I’ve had a really bad year,” Cleaver told the panellists.
“I had a hysterectomy in March. Then a few weeks ago, I ended up in A&E.”
The TV star did not elaborate on what had been wrong with her, telling viewers that she didn’t need to go into the details.
“But it was a scary scary time,” she said.
“I had surgery and ended up in intensive care.”
“So there is no diet, there are no gummies,” added the 59-year-old.
“And I am incensed that these companies prey on people’s vulnerabilities and use our name.”
The actor said one lady had spent £160 on the products.
“I felt awful,” she said.
