‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ Game Pulled Offline Over Glitch That Let Players Complete the Game Immediately
UPDATED: The early-release version of Warner Bros. Games’ “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” had a weird glitch that let players “have full story completion” after logging on for the first time — prompting the game’s developer to pull the title offline as it sought to fix the issue.
“Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” is billed as a “genre-defying third-person action-shooter,” developed by Rocksteady Studios, creators of the best-selling “Batman: Arkham” series.

In a post on X Monday morning, Rocksteady wrote, “We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion. To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers. During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
Five hours later, Rocksteady said in a follow-up post that it had identified the problem that was affecting player profiles and was testing a fix. “We hope to implement it and have the game back online as soon as possible,” the company said.
In the game, you can play as Harley Quinn (aka Dr. Harleen Quinzel), Deadshot (aka Floyd Lawton), Captain Boomerang (aka Digger Harkness) or King Shark (aka Nanaue) and “embark on an impossible mission through Metropolis to save Earth and take down the world’s greatest DC Super Heroes, the Justice League,” per the official description.
The general release of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” is scheduled to be available worldwide on Feb. 2, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The Epic Games Store (PC) version be available on March 5, 2024. The game is priced at $69.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the deluxe edition.
