It's hotting up, and so is the events schedule.

Summer 2024 on Teesside is packed with gigs and festivals - and there's something for everyone. Whether you are after a family friendly day out or an Ibiza-style rave, no music taste is left out.

July

On Redcar Beach Live

July 5 - Majuba Beach, Redcar

Rock band The Libertines have been announced as a headline band performing at a Redcar beach this summer alongside The Zutons and The Pigeon Detectives.

Modefest

July 6 - Majuba Beach, Redcar

MODE has become one of the biggest house music events in the North East, boasting a back catalogue of DJ’s from Patrick Topping, MK, Jamie Jones, Ben Hemsley and many more. The brand has already carved its name in Teesside dance music history and now it's time to scale up with their biggest event to date.

Offering two stages of dance music revellers can expect some of the hottest DJ's on the planet including Queen of the 'Doof' Hannah Laing.

Save The Rave: Outdoor 90's Festival Middlesbrough!

July 13 - Albert Park

This festival will feature the likes of Ultrabeat, Andy Whitby, Phats & Small, Utah Saints and Wideboys.

Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival

July 14 - Albert Park

This all-day outdoor music festival is travelling across the UK this summer with a line up that will transport you through time. Each date hosts a selection of iconic tribute acts including Queen, ABBA and The Beatles.

Clubland by the Sea

July 26 - Seaton Reach, Hartlepool

This full festival experience is complete with a huge outdoor main stage, light show and SFX production, as well as a mini-festival village with food and drink vendors, official merchandise, rides and much, much more. In addition to the main stage, the festival will feature two new for 2024.

Headlining the Clubland Main Arena Stage is Darren Styles. Joining him are Billy Gillies and special guest Hannah Boyeln. The stage will also witness live performances from The Blackout Crew and Ultrabeat.

July 26, 27, 28 - Guisborough Rugby Club

Summer Sound is Redcar and Cleveland's biggest music festival attracting thousands of people each year to the three-day event of live music and entertainment. It is hailed as the only festival in the area that allows you to bring your own food and drink with many people bringing camping chairs and having a picnic whilst they watch the bands.

The Friday and Saturday parties are for over 16's only and Sunday is the family day for all ages with free entry for youngsters under three-years-old.

This year the Friday night will be dedicated to musical legends featuring tribute act to Elton John, ABBA, Elvis, Michael Jackson, George Michael and Wham. Throughout Saturday there will be a big rock and pop event with tributes to Oasis, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Take That, Lady Gaga, The Southmartins plus local band The Fallen.

Then on Sunday it will be family day with a concert suitable for children featuring a full line up of pop tributes including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Pink and Ariana Grande. Throughout the weekend there will be also be funfair rides, street food, licensed bars, festival stalls, street entertainers, fireworks and much more.

Soundwave Fest

July 27 - Seaton Reach, Hartlepool

Kaiser Chiefs are headlining this event, alongside Feeder and Heather Smalls. There will be one main stage, as well as a comedy tent and a local artists arena.

August

Cafe Mambo by the Sea

August 3 - Seaton Reach, Hartlepool

The iconic Cafe Mambo in Ibiza is heading to Hartlepool for a huge festival to celebrate 30 years of Mambo.

Heading the bill is original Ibiza superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold who will perform and exclusive Ibiza House set. Joining him is Gok Wan, Mambo favourites Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago, and the iconic Kings of Tomorrow with Julie MckNight.

In addition to the main stage will be Stage 2, hosted by Beat Boutique.

Hardwick Festival

August 16, 17, and 18 - Hardwick Hall

The 10th anniversary celebration is set to be the "most ambitious, bold and diverse line-up to date", according to organisers. Names such as Snow Patrol, Richard Ashcroft, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Soldier's Eyes' star Jack Savoretti and The Charlatans are all set to perform.

The three-day event - which has already confirmed UK pop queen Becky Hill as its opening headliner - will take place between Friday August 16 and Sunday August 18 across two stages, set in the beautiful surroundings of Hardwick Hall.

A weekend adult ticket costs £187.95 including the booking fee, the Friday ticket costs £61.95, and both the Saturday and Sunday individual day tickets each costs £75.60. Tickets are on sale here.

Party In Acklam Park 2024

August 25 - Middlesbrough Rugby and Cricket Club

Party In Acklam is now in its eighth year and has gained a reputation for being one of Teesside's stand-out festivals. In 2023, hundreds of Teessiders headed to the event to enjoy one a day of music and celebration when the line-up consisted of ABBA Sensation, Rule The World - Take That Tribute, Little Fix, Hip Operation, New Jersey Tones, and many more.
