“Summer House”'s Sam Feher Says She Broke Up with Kory Keefer 'Because He Doesn't Love Me' — but He Was 'Floored'
The Bravolebrity revealed that her final "trigger" was when Kory asked about her holiday plans "five or six days" before Christmas
Summer House stars Sam Feher and Winter House castmate Kory Keefer have officially split after dating for more than a year.
On Tuesday's episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Feher announced that the couple had parted ways and she initiated the breakup after she felt that her feelings weren't reciprocated.
“I had said [‘I love you’] to him and he never said it to me," she explained. "He didn’t say it back when I said it to him and he then he never said it for the rest of the relationship, and that was a big problem for me. I was like, ‘I think I need to get out ... it’s becoming clear.'"
She explained, "I didn’t break up with him because I don’t love him, I broke up with him because he doesn’t love me.”
Feher noted that their relationship had taken a hit since season 3 of Winter House aired late last year, referencing the drama the former couple endured with Malia White and Jordan Emanuel making advances on her man during filming.
“What took a toll was watching it back and finding out that I had been lied to by so many people," she continued. "There are lies that are genuine, straight-up lies – like Malia saying, ‘I never wanted to hook up with Kory’ — and then there are lies by omission."
Confirming that their relationship ended shortly after the season 3 reunion in December 2023, Feher said Keefer was "shocked" when she "ended it."
"He was, I think, floored that I was actually leaving," she added. "The trigger was, he texted like five or six days before Christmas, like, 'Hey, I just realized Christmas and New Year’s are coming up, what are we doing?' If you wanted to spend that time with me, you would have texted me before then. … It was a really hard moment for me because I’ve always spent a holiday like a Christmas at my family’s, a boyfriend."
The exes first met during season 7 of Summer House. Although the two never defined their relationship during the show, fans witnessed their bond quickly grow closer.
After the two made repeated appearances on their respective social media accounts, Feher announced that they were an item in an interview with Page Six in April 2023.
"Kory’s my boyfriend! That is so weird," she said. "I haven’t had a boyfriend in so long!”
Feher told the outlet that she and Keefer were casually dating when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in November. The two didn't make things official until March, which she confirmed at the time of her interview.
“This is a crazy insider moment and funny to look back on, [but] when Craig [Conover] and Kory did Watch What Happens Live for Winter House, Kory and I were dating, but I hadn’t even been announced as cast yet on Summer House, so I’m sitting in the audience all quiet like no one knows who I am,” she said.
