Amazon has announced that fans will have a wait ahead of them before the next instalment of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The popular series will return for a third season but episodes won't be released until next year.
"We're officially rolling on #TheSummerITurnedPretty Season 3," read the official Instagram post, alongside a video of the cast frolicking on the beach.

The wait will hopefully be worthwhile as the caption also confirmed an extra long season, with 11 episodes set to hit our screens next summer.
"11 episodes coming your way. see you in Cousins in 2025 " it concluded.
The comments were filled with shock at the release date, as followers expressed their anguish.
"You're saying I’m gonna have to wait more than a year…" replied one fan, while another echoed: "How dare you make me wait one year, what will I do this july."
The Amazon Prime show is based on Jenny Han's book trilogy of the same name, which focuses on 16 year old Isabel "Belly" Conklin's love triangle with her childhood friends, the Fisher brothers.

In the season 2 finale, Belly (Lola Tung) chose easy-going Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) over his broody brother Conrad (Christopher Briney). The upcoming season will feature the events of the third and final book of the series.
In an interview with TV Line, Tung rationalised her character's decision, claiming it "made sense for her in the moment".
"She's been through a lot with both of them, and I think she's realized that, at that time, Conrad has not shown her that he will ever be willing to fight for that relationship as much as she will."
She added: "Here's Jeremiah, ready to fight for her, continuing to fight for her, just proving, I think, constantly how much he loves her and cares about her, even in watching her be with Conrad for so long."
