What are the Supacell character's powers?
After landing on Netflix last week, Supacell shot straight into the number one slot of the streamer's most-watched shows, and for good reason. The superhero drama follows a group of strangers from South London who all mysteriously develop powers, and must use them to save a woman's life. Here's a reminder of each of the main characters and what their power actually is.
What is Supacell?
The new Netflix series sees a group of five ordinary people who have their lives turned upside down when they realise they have superhuman abilities. They have little in common except for one thing: they are all Black south Londoners.
From superhuman strength, to the ability to time travel and fly, the group use their skills in the only way they know how, to protect themselves and their loved ones, with Michael Lasaki (Tosin Cole) trying to bring the five heroes together to save the woman he loves.
What are the characters in Supacell's powers?
Michael
Power: can travel through time and space
Although Supacell is an ensemble piece, Michael is essentially the lead character, who sees into the future and discovers his girlfriend, Dionne (Adelayo Adedayo) is in danger. He must bring together the other four people who develop powers to try and save her.
Tazer
Power: Invisibility
Tazer is the leader of the Tower Boys gang, but reveals his softer side as a carer for his elderly grandmother who raised him. His tough exterior is partly down to the belief that his mother abandoned him, though the story is later revealed to be more than meets the eye.
Andre
Power: Super strength
Andre is trying to hold down a normal job and both coparent and provide for his son, despite his criminal record. He discovers he has superhuman strength and is able to lift cars in the air.
Rodney
Power: Super speed and healing powers
Rodney is experimenting as a drug dealer and is desperately trying to forge stronger family relationships, when he discovers his superhuman speed. Later in the series, his healing powers emerge.
Sabrina
Power: Telekinetic abilities
Sabrina, who is looking after her sister Sharleen, also discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her. Her power gives her the ability to move objects without touching them.
