Yahoo News Will Supacell on Netflix get a season 2?
Forget The Boys or Misfits, because there's a new superhero drama in town, with Netflix's Supacell shooting straight into the Top 10 on the streaming platform. Created by Rapman, the show followers a group of normal people in South London who suddenly discover they have extraordinary powers, and must come together in an attempt to stop impending doom. So, will there be a season two?
So, has Supacell season 2 been confirmed yet?
In short, no. The first series of the Netflix show dropped on the streaming platform on 27th June 2024, and while it immediately shot to the top of their most-streamed TV shows, it hasn't yet been renewed for more episodes.
What have the cast and crew said about a season 2?
Rapman, who created and directed the show, revealed to Unilad that he actually had plans for three seasons of Supacell, but it all depended on the success of season one.
"I've told Netflix loads of times that I've got plans for multiple seasons," he shared. "But you know how it goes, they're gonna see how it does, and hopefully we get the next season.
“I told them, I've got a three-season idea story in my head. So, I got three, not saying it could never go over, but I've got three stories, these three seasons in my head, of where I know where the story goes. So, I'm hoping that it comes out, performs really well, and we can go on a second part."

What could happen in Supacell season 2?

Following Dionne's death at the end of season one, a post-credits scene gives more insight into The Organisation. Ray is seen walking past a number of prisoners, including Sabrina’s missing sister Sharleen, before Victoria is revealed as its leader.
She tells Krazy, "You remember that I took you out of prison. You remember that I allowed you to sell your drugs. I saved your life on multiple occasions" before shooting him dead, with Ray then telling her Krazy was "not the only one who’s failed me."
This leaves the door open for many different plot lines in season two. Who else has failed them? Who else is a member of The Organisation?
