The Premier League title race is heating up with a supercomputer predicting the outcome as Arsenal and Manchester City vie for supremacy.

Following the latest round of matches, it's become a head-to-head battle between the two clubs. Arsenal managed to maintain their lead at the summit after securing a 3-2 victory in the north London derby against Tottenham.

The Gunners' position looks strong with 80 points and just three games left, while City are hot on their heels, trailing by a single point but with an extra game yet to play. Pep Guardiola's team continued their pursuit with a convincing win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Their additional match is set to take place at Tottenham in mid-May, which puts City in the advantageous position of having control over their own destiny. Despite securing three consecutive victories, Arsenal still falls short in the Premier League title race.

According to a supercomputer from BETSiE (via bettingexpert.com), the Blues are slightly favoured to clinch the Premier League title. The predictor, which simulates the Premier League season 100,000 times, considers all match results from the previous season, pre-season outcomes, and the ongoing season's progress.

It utilises this data to forecast the season based on both pre-season expectations and xG earned for and against during the season. Fortunately for City, the outlook is promising, with Mikel Arteta's team projected to finish with 86.9 points, just below City's 87.7.

Pep Guardiola's men have a win probability of 53.2%, surpassing Arsenal's 46.6%. Liverpool, who haven't tasted victory in their last two matches, have a mere 0.6% chance, effectively ruling out another Premier League title triumph for Jurgen Klopp.
